DESCRIPTION:(click to view larger or download)\nJoin us this Sunday for June’s Second Sunday event!\n\n\n \n\n\nSunday\, June 10\, 2018;\n\n\n10:00: “Early” Bird Walk with Refuge Naturalist Terry Anderson\n\n\n12:00 – 4:00: Cathlapotle Plankhouse Open – tours and family activities\n\n\n1:00: Judy BlueHorse Skelton\, Presentation and Q&A\nJudy will be speaking on seasonality and how changing of the seasons is meaningful to Urban Native Culture. Discussing issues such as access to wild and natural places for gathering and how urban life impacts ways we connect to the landscape. Judy is Assistant Professor at PSU in the Indigenous Nations Studies Program and has worked with local tribes and the Urban Indigenous community for over 25 years.\n\n\n2:30: Ethnobotany Walk with Juliet McGraw\n\n\n \n\n\nFamily Activities include: seasonality based crafts\, including making paper ‘cedar’ gathering baskets\, and more! Come experience a living Plankhouse\, take a walk on the trail\, have fun with the kids or learn something new- all in one place! Event cost is free with general Refuge admission\, $3.00 per vehicle\, pay at the trailhead!\n\n\n
