The absolute best part? We didn’t run big ad campaigns or ask for votes (except like, once); this win was 100% powered by YOU, our amazing community.
On behalf of the Refuge and the Friends team, thank you to everyone who voted, visits, volunteers, and holds this special place close to their hearts. Whether you come for peaceful morning birding on the Auto Tour, family walks along the trails, or just a quiet moment to recharge in nature, your love for this land is what truly makes it shine.
