Saturday, May 18th, 2019, come see the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge in Tualatin at the Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge’s Bird Festival! This event is free and open to the public, and includes great events and activities.

Here is a sample of activities offered in 2018:

  • Conestoga-style Wagon Rides around the Refuge perimeter from 10-3
  • Early morning Guided walks start at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 AM
  • 8 AM Guided Bird Walk with Elaine Murphy from Backyard Bird Shop
  • Portland Audubon live bird show at Noon
  • Fish Migration Putt Putt Golf
  • Lamprey tank
  • Crafts
  • Decoy Duck Painting
  • Archery Skill Building
  • Backyard Fish Casting Clinic Station
  • Build a Bird House
  • Conservation exhibits
  • Interpretive stations
  • Nature’s Overlook Store is OPEN
  • Food Vendors accept credit and debit cards
